Beginning in the 1960s, Charles Dodge pioneered the use of computers to create music; combining synthesized vocals and sounds with traditional instruments. Dodge’s work influenced the development of electronic music and the use of computer generated sound in rock and pop.

Dodge will retire this semester as a visiting professor at Dartmouth and to honor him, the college is presenting a series of discussions and concerts.

VPR’s Steve Zind recently spent some time with Dodge and talked with him about his music.
