The state has been holding meetings on the plan to treat the Winooski and Missisquoi Rivers this fall for sea lamprey control, as well as on a plan to expand control to the Lamoille and some smaller streams in Vermont. Meanwhile, environmental groups are questioning whether controls are working and are opposing expansion of the program. Burlington Free Press reporter Candace Page has been looking into the issue and spoke with VPR’s Jane Lindholm about it.
