More than 8500 trucks are registered to haul goods throughout Vermont each year. A recent bridge closure over the Connecticut River has highlighted some of the challenges that truckers face when it comes to meeting weight limits. We look into the state’s trucking industry and its weight restrictions, high fuel costs, and impact on our roads. Our guests include Department of Motor Vehicles Commissioner, Bonnie Rutledge, and the President of the Vermont Bus and Truck Association, and head of Bellavance Trucking, Roland Bellavance.
