Earlier this year, the University of Vermont was facing serious budget problems. Some faculty layoffs occurred and the baseball and softball programs were discontinued. They discuss how the university has dealt with these financial concerns, the proposed 6-percent increase in next year’s tuition and whether Vermont students are being priced out of higher education opportunities at UVM.
