Raised in Switzerland, Moyse was one of a group of European musicians who moved to Vermont at the end of World War II. When her career as a violinist was cut short by an injury, she turned to choral conducting.

Tomorrow Moyse turns one-hundred.  The Brattleboro Music Center, which she founded in 1952, has planned a year-long series of concerts and special programs in her honor.

Moyse is no longer musically active, but the many musicians she cultivated and lured to Vermont continue her legacy. We talked to some of them recently.
