(Host) The Vermont College of Fine Arts has just started  one of the biggest Master’s In Fine Arts classes in its history.

The Montpelier college begins an intensive 10-day residency today that involves workshops, lectures and readings.

Louise Crowley is the director of the MFA in writing program.

I visited Crowley in her office, where she explained what the residency involves.

Visiting writers to this year’s residency include poet Cleopatra Mathis and fiction writer Ernesto-Mestre-Reed.

More than 40 public readings have been scheduled.
