Fans of reality cooking shows have been following Vermont’s latest entrant in the world of kitchen competitions. Last night on TLC’s The Next Great Baker, Gretel-Ann Fischer of Colchester competed in the finale, as one of two bakers left standing, with a prize of $100,000 on the line.
Though she was not the winner, Fischer was not the winner of TLC’s Next Great Baker, but as they say, she was a winner in her friends’ eyes.
She talked with Vermont Edition about the competition, the results and why she says winning the $100,000 prize would help keep her Winooski bakery, Cupp’s, in business.
