Vermont Public Radio has won 9 regional Edward R. Murrow awards. The Radio and TV News Directors Association has honored outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971. Murrow’s pursuit of excellence in journalism embodies the spirit of the awards that carry his name.
VPR was honored in nine different categories for excellence in broadcasting and public service, the most the station has ever received. The regional awards are selected from nominations at public and commercial radio stations in the New England states.
