Vermont’s hospitals struggle with money, staffing

Workers at Central Vermont Regional Medical Center got some bad news recently, when hospital officials announced that workers would not receive the pay raises they were expecting.

In addition, ten people were laid off and seven vacant positions waiting to be filled were eliminated instead.

The problems are not limited to Central Vermont Regional Medical center. Hospitals around the state are struggling with money and staffing difficulties.
