Vermonters have extra day to file taxes

Vermonters can relax for an extra day about their taxes.

Normally, the deadline for settling up with Uncle Sam is April 15th. Because the 15th fell on a Saturday, most people have until today, the 17th.

Taxpayers who live in Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont or Washington D.C. have until tomorrow, the 18th, because today is Patriots Day.

Taxpayers needing an extension should file an IRS Form 48-68
