Vermont Teddy Bear Company says holiday orders rose 29 percent from a year ago.
The company says it received about 105,000 orders in December for its BearGram, PajamaGram, TastyGram and Calyx and Corolla gift products. That’s up from about 81,000 orders taken a year ago. The greatest surge was for its PajamaGrams, which allow customers to send pajamas and spa products. The number of orders rose 147 percent to 33,000.
Shares of the company also jumped on Tuesday, rising 24 percent, to $5.60 in morning trading on the Nasdaq.
