Vermont TV stations plan to stick to their scheduled conversion to digital broadcasts, despite the federal government’s postponement of the February 17 deadline until June.

Ted Teffner manages their broadcasting facility atop Mount Mansfield. Teffner says extending analog service would mean cost overruns and scheduling problems.

All stations in the Burlington-Plattsburgh market will turn off their broadcast analog signals after Feb. 17.

Jim Condon, executive director of the Vermont Association of Broadcasters, says most Vermont TV viewers are ready for the change.
