(Host) A Vermont man has been sentenced to federal prison for transporting child pornography over the Internet.
Judge William Sessions called the case against 62 year old John Perry Ryan one of the most egregious instances of child pornography he’s ever seen.
Ryan pleaded guilty to three counts in June that date to 2006.
The former Provincetown, Massachusetts, gay rights activist also must forfeit his Braintree home.
Authorities say they found 24,000 images of sometimes violent child pornography on Ryan’s home computer.
