Lawmakers will be returning to the Vermont Statehouse tomorrow for the opening day of the 2008 legislative session.

Some of the issues lawmakers expect to be dealing with are those that have been around for years: school finance, health care and energy.

New issues could include a debate about e privatizing the state lottery whether laws should be relaxed for possession of small amounts of marijuana.

The House and Senate are controlled by Democrats and Governor Jim Douglas is a Republican.

But both camps are promising to work together to avoid partisan gridlock.
