The New Hampshire Air National Guard will be hosting some summer visitors – 15 F-16 fighter jets and their crews from the 158th Vermont Air National Guard Fighter Wing.

The jets will be using space at the Pease Air National Guard base in Portsmouth while the main runway at their base in South Burlington, Vermont is resurfaced. The F-16s will stay in New Hampshire from May until September.

Pierce says the F-16s can be noisier than the tankers, but she doesn’t know if there will be restrictions on the use of the jet afterburners. She says the jets will not be flying at night.
