Vermont courts will be closed Friday.
It’s a mandatory furlough day, imposed because of state budget restraints.
Two courts will be open, though: The state criminal courts in Burlington and Rutland will be open Friday morning on a limited basis, for arraignments.
The state employees who staff the courts won’t be paid for the furlough day.
