The University of Vermont women’s basketball team will play Wisconsin in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Lady Catamounts, who won the America East Conference championship Saturday by beating Hartford, drew a No. 10 seed and Wisconsin is a No. 7 seed. They’ll square off Sunday, in South Bend, Ind.
Vermont is 26-6. Wisconsin is 21-10.
The Vermont men’s team plays Syracuse in the NCAA Tournament. That game is Friday in Buffalo, N.Y.
