Utilities Brace For More Outages

More than 200,000 homes and businesses in New Hampshire are without power this morning and in Vermont, 26,000 electric customers are in the dark as the second storm to hit the state this week brought high winds that brought down power lines.

Central Vermont Public Service, Vermont’s largest utility, reports that more than 55,000 customers have lost power since Tuesday.

Most of the outages are in southern Vermont with Windsor, Bennington and Rutland Counties have the most power outages.
