She won’t guarantee it, but a university climatologist says depending on where you live in New Hampshire, you have a 75 to 85 percent probability of having a white Christmas this year.

UNH’s Beth Hall says with snow on the ground and more snow and cold in the forecast, in Southern New Hampshire there is a 75 percent probability there will be snow on the ground on Christmas day. There is a 17 percent probability that snow will fall on the 25th.

In the North, Hall figures an 85 percent and 27 percent probabilities, respectively.
