Vermont State Police say they’ve called off an underwater search for a New York man who disappeared on Harriman Reservoir in Whitingham.
Four days of searching have yielded no progress in the search for 31-year-old Paul Spackman, who went tubing on the reservoir Sunday and disappeared under as he tried to climb back into a rented boat.
Lieutenant Kraig LaPorte says divers searched the water in depths up to 160 feet, and that police believe Spackman’s body is in the reservoir.
But any more searches will consist only of marine patrols.
