Officials say two Vermont State Police troopers are being investigated on allegations they were involved in a sexual assault while they were off duty.

Vermont State Police Major John Filipek says the troopers have been suspended with pay while the investigation by Brattleboro police continues. He would not identify the troopers.

Assistant Attorney General Cindy Maguire says she’s received the investigation report from the Brattleboro Police Department. She said the Windham County State’s Attorney’s office has cases pending from the two troopers.

No one would discuss the nature of the allegations.
