(Host) Two more health clinics in Vermont have qualified for federal support. Congressman Bernie Sanders says the designation means the clinics in Orange and Rutland counties will receive about $1.3 million dollars in federal grants.

(Sanders) “It will enable these community health centers to significantly expand the health services that they provide. It means that no one is turned away, that lower income, not-insured Vermonters, will be able to get health care on a sliding-scale basis. It means that dental care, which is a very serious problem throughout our state will also be available, as will mental health counseling, another big issue around the state.”

(Host) Vermont now has five federally qualified health centers, with sites in eighteen locations in seven counties.
