Young baseball players from New Hampshire and Vermont leave today for Cuba.

The 14 11- and 12-year-olds are taking a bus from Lebanon, N.H. to Boston this morning, then flying to Miami, before catching another flight tomorrow to Cuba.

The baseball trip is sparking some political controversy. Florida Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart is criticizing the trip, saying it’s very troubling that the government granted the team permission to travel to Cuba.

Americans are prohibited from traveling to Cuba unless they get permission from the U.S. government.
