Trey Anastasio, formerly of the band Phish, has been accused of driving under the influence of drugs in upstate New York.
According to police, Anastasio was pulled over in Whitehall this morning at about three-thirty after an officer noticed that his car was drifting.
Police said a search turned up quantities of the painkillers hydrocodone and Percocet, as well as the anti-anxiety drug Xanax.
Police also said Anastasio was driving with a suspended New York license.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and on two other counts related to unlicensed operation of a vehicle and possession of controlled substances.
He was released and scheduled for a court appearance at a later date.
