It’s the last day to make a bid for moose hunt permit in New Hampshire.

The Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire is auctioning five moose hunting permits for the 2009 moose hunt, along with licenses, as part of a new program to support the conservation of wildlife.

The permits allow the holder to harvest one moose of either sex in a wildlife management unit of the holder’s choice. Deadline for the receipt of bids is Tuesday.

Successful bidders need to show proof of a previous hunting license or a certificate of completion of an approved hunter education training program. Those people who received a permit in the moose hunt lottery aren’t eligible to participate in the auction.
