Colby Sawyer College president Tom Galligan may work pretty far from the ocean in New London, New Hampshire, but he’s actually an expert in maritime personal injury law.  His scholarship has been cited by the U.S. Supreme Court and federal and state appellate and trial courts, as well as by legal scholars. Last week he co-chaired a symposium in New Orleans on the Gulf Oil Spill and then flew to Washington to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on legal issues surrounding the spill.

He spoke with VPR’s Jane Lindholm about the Gulf situation.
