Two Vermont teenagers have been arrested and charged with robbing a store clerk as she was making a night deposit at a South Royalton bank.

Seventeen-year-old Robert Williams of South Royalton and 19-year-old Samuel Robins of Norwich are charged with assault and robbery.

Police say the 19-year-old store clerk was making a night deposit at the Randolph National Bank for the Corner Stop Mini Mart of South Royalton on Tuesday when an unknown male with a club-like weapon approached her, grabbed the bag and ran away.

The Vermont State Police say tips from the public helped solve the case.

Both Robins and Williams are being held on $50,000 bail.
