The Vermont Education Department says Robert Koziol was employed by the St. Albans school district at the end of the last school year when he "deliberately and intentionally" destroyed the file.
He now teaches at the Essex Middle School’s Edge Academy.
School officials won’t discuss why he destroyed the file.
Koziol could not be reached for comment.
The Burlington Free Press says Koziol’s suspension coincides with the holiday break. He’s expected back in the classroom next week.
