The race for Vermont’s open U.S. Senate seat has taken a turn for the negative.
Republican Richard Tarrant has posted an ad on the World Wide Web harshly criticizing Congressman Bernie Sanders for Sanders’ support for an agriculture appropriations bill.
The vote came after House Republicans blocked an amendment that would have allowed a one-month extension of a program aiding dairy farmers.
The Sanders campaign is firing back by calling Tarrant’s ad deceptive. It issued a press released listing 15 alleged falsehoods by Tarrant.
