The Vermont Supreme Court was in South Royalton today for its annual visit to the Vermont Law School. The court was heard oral arguments in a half dozen cases on Thursday, continuing an annual tradition that began in the early 1990s.

Cases on the docket included appeals in a search and seizure case from Vergennes, and a matter involving the Vermont Yankee nuclear plant’s recent power boost. Also before the court was a lawsuit against the Barre schools alleging they were negligent in the supervision of a tenth-grader who was cutting classes in 2000 when she was slain.
