A national study says Grafton County is New Hampshire’s healthiest county while Coos County is the state’s least healthy.

The national study by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation ranked the overall health of the counties in all 50 states.

After Grafton County, the study found Rockingham County to be the second healthiest region in New Hampshire, followed by Merrimack County.

The report looked at factors including smoking, obesity, binge drinking, access to primary care providers, high school graduation rates, crime rates, unemployment rates and number of children living in poverty.
