A funeral is planned for tomorrow in Waitsfield for Werner von Trapp.
The 91-year-old Von Trapp was one of the original von Trapp family singers made famous by the movie "The Sound of Music.”
He died Thursday at his home in Waitsfield. He was 91.
For decades, von Trapp and his family operated a dairy farm in Waitsfield.
After his 1979 retirement, von Trapp devoted his time to his family, traveling and his lifelong hobbies of weaving, spinning, and crocheting, said his obituary.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Erika, six children, eighteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother.
