The state of Vermont has completed its application for $94 million federal stimulus money.

The application was due on July 1.

Vermont’s chief recovery officer Tom Evslin says the application was filed late Monday.

Evslin says the application was held up by a budget fight between Republican Gov. Jim Douglas and Democrats who control the state Legislature.

As of Friday, 43 states had completed their applications and 37 had received their share of the education stimulus money.
