The state Agency of Transportation says it’ll kick in $350,000 to help three public transit providers pay for new routes or expand old ones.

The money will establish new bus routes along Route 103 and Interstate 91 and expand an existing one along Interstate 89.

Among the improvements: Doubling the seating capacity on the I-89er, which begins in Randolph Center and travels south along Interstate 89 with stops at park and rides in both Randolph and Sharon on its way to Bethel, White River Junction and finally into Lebanon, N.H.

Also planned is new service along Route 103, from Rutland through Ludlow to Bellows Falls and Springfield, and new service along I-91 from St. Johnsbury to White River Junction and then into Lebanon, N.H.
