St. Albans Teacher Selected For Prestigious Fellowship

A high school science teacher at Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans will have some fresh lab experience to bring back to the classroom in September.

Glen McCabe was one of 20 teachers from around the country selected for a prestigious two-week fellowship to study at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee.

The program sponsored by the Siemens Foundation invites the teachers to participate in research at Oak Ridge, one of the leading labs in the country in nuclear and related sciences.

The program is designed to help teachers bring the excitement of science research into the classroom and inspire students to pursue science, technology, engineering and math education and careers.
