Spaulding High School is mourning the death today of one of its students.

Sixteen-year-old Chris Chaloux of Washington died Friday night when the car he was driving went across the median and flipped over several times on Route 62 in Berlin.

A second Spaulding High School student was in intensive car at the hospital and a third suffered minor injuries.

Police say speed and a lack of seat belt use were factors in the accident.

Spaulding High School plans to make guidance counselors and mental health workers available to grieving students.
