Teachers in the South Burlington are holding a strike vote.

Teachers affiliated with the South Burlington Education Association are planning informational picketing this morning and this afternoon union officials are planning to announce the results of the strike vote.

Last month negotiations broke down between the union and the school board.

The district’s 242 teachers have been working without a contract for about eight months. Negotiations with the board stalled over one provision allowing the board to impose working conditions and another having to do with negotiated salary schedules.
