Ski resorts have lowest numbers in twelve years

Vermont ski areas had their worst season in more than a decade last winter.

The number of skier and snowboarder visits was the lowest it’s been since the 1994-95 season with a total of 3.8 million.

Snow that arrived for the President’s Day holiday in February didn’t make up for a slow start to the season.

But officials say the numbers could have been a lot worse.

Many resorts were down 30% at the end of January.
