Gov. Peter Shumlin says he’s pleased with how the legislative session has gone as lawmakers approach their last scheduled week in session.
He told a news conference Thursday that lawmakers tackled the most ambitious agenda he had ever seen move through the Statehouse in a single session. Shumlin, whose fellow Democrats control the Legislature, cited major health care reform legislation, a jobs bill and a measure aimed at expanding access to broadband internet and cellular phone service.
