The man charged with killing two people and wounding two others during a 2006 school shooting, is suing two media outlets, a police department, the state and the hospital that treated him.
Christopher Williams claims he has been a victim of racism, and has filed a lawsuit representing himself.
Williams names the Burlington Free Press, WCAX, the Burlington Police Department, the state and Fletcher Allen Health Care in his suit.
Williams is seeking a total of $10 million from the news outlets.
All the organizations sued by Williams deny any wrongdoing.
The 29-year-old Williams is due to go to trial next month for the shooting incident. He has pleaded innocent by reason of insanity.
