The Senate has approved nearly $7 million for three land conservation initiatives in New Hampshire.

The Senate approved $3 million for the Silvo Conte National Wildlife Refuge, $2.4 million for the Cardigan Highlands and $1.4 million for the Mahoosuc Gateway/Success Township Land and Water Conservation Fund.

The funding is in a bill headed to a joint House-Senate conference committee. The final bill then would face a vote in both chambers.
