The second suspect in last year’s killing of a Winhall housepainter is expected to make his first appearance in a Vermont courtroom on Monday.

Twenty-eight-year-old Christopher Kosmalski of Rutland was returned to Vermont from Florida on Friday to answer the charges against him.

Joshua Gould, the other suspect in the stabbing death of 24-year-old Renato Wieser, was brought back to Vermont earlier and pleaded not guilty to a charge of first degree murder on Monday.

Court documents say the 28-year-old Gould killed Wieser and the two men then stole valuables from the house and later fled to Florida in Wieser’s car.
