The search for a missing Middlebury College student Nicholas Garza has been an expensive one for the Middlebury police department.

Police Chief Tom Hanley says the department has used up almost its entire $27,000 overtime budget. The fiscal year ends in June.

The 19-year-old Garza, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was last seen February 5 when he was leaving a campus party.

Despite seven full-scale searches no trace of Garza has been found.

The search is due to resume tomorrow.
