Congressman Bernie Sanders made his campaign for the U.S. Senate official today.
After 16 years in the House, Sanders decided to make a bid for the Senate when Senator Jim Jeffords announced his retirement.
He’s been organizing his campaign for months, raising money, assembling a staff and airing television commercials.
Sanders will be running against the winner in the Republican primary.
