Vermont Congressman Bernie Sanders is expressing concern about what he says is the media’s failure to cover certain issues at all. Sanders spoke on Sunday at the National Conference on Media Reform, which was held in Madison, Wisconsin.

Sanders says one of the roles that the media plays is determining what’s important and what isn’t, what’s fringe and what’s mainstream.

Among the issues that he says aren’t covered are the collapse of the middle class, sustainable energy, and national health care.
