The city of South Burlington is taking another step in the process toward making it easier for motorists to get on Interstate 89.
A proposed interchange would improve access to Burlington International Airport and provide a link to nearby offices.
The city council is planning a hearing for Tuesday on a plan to condemn the land that would be used for the interchange.
The plan is known formally as the Hinesburg Road/Interstate Highway 89 Interchange 12B project.
The city does not need to purchase the land for the interchange to be built, but is considering condemnation to ensure that the land is not developed before construction can begin.
