Mammograms are considered critical tools for detecting breast cancer in
women. But is there a better screening method?

Dr. Richard Lovett is a radiation oncologist at Rutland Regional Medical
Center’s Community Cancer Center.

He recently completed a study comparing MRI technology with mammograms as
a method to screen for breast cancer.

Dr. Lovett’s study was chosen from among 2,000 others to be presented to
his colleagues at the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and
Oncology later this month:
