A Richmond man has been charged with the aggravated homicide of Michelle Gardner-Quinn.
She is the University of Vermont student whose body was found almost a week after she disappeared while walking from downtown back to campus.
Police say in an affidavit that Gardner-Quinn died from strangulation and “blunt force trauma.”
Thirty-six-year-old Brian L. Rooney was charged with aggravated homicide in the case.
Police say DNA samples found during an autopsy matched DNA taken from Rooney.
