Rockingham’s Select Board has unanimously accepted a bid from a private bridge building company for the repair of the Worrall Covered Bridge.

The bridge was among a number of historic covered bridges around the state that were damaged or destroyed by Tropical Storm Irene flooding last year.

Rockingham’s Select Board approved a bid from Daniels Construction of Ascutney to repair the bridge at a cost no more than $18,000.
