Shipments of replacement baby formula has begun arriving in Vermont, after a nationwide recall Friday on certain lots of Similac and Isomil powdered formulas.
Containers of those brands were recalled after traces of a common beetle were found in some of the containers.
The Vermont Health Department says the brands are distributed through the "WIC" program – a nutrition program for mothers and young children.
State officials notified health care providers about the recall, and ordered replacement formula that began arriving over the weekend.
